What is a Lunar Calendar?
A lunar calendar is a timekeeping system based on the Moon’s movement around the Earth. It is especially important for agriculture, astrology, and observing natural events. The Moon goes through four main phases in its approximately 29.5-day cycle:
- New Moon: The Moon is not visible. It is an ideal time for new beginnings.
- First Quarter: Half of the Moon is illuminated. This phase represents progress in initiatives.
- Full Moon: The Moon is fully illuminated, bringing emotional intensity. Energy levels are high, and decisions become clearer.
- Last Quarter: A period of closure and evaluation. It is time to let go of the old and prepare for new changes.
